New readers

Welcome from 19 May 2024

  1. If your introduction to this set of websites comes from a friend or relative, please pass on my thanks.

  2. Thanks to you too for taking the time to look at the links page.  I hope you will find many aspects of it to interest you.

  3. For the moment, the assumption is that you're a parent of a primary school pupil, perhaps more than one.

  4. There is a 'mass' of information across numerous pages here.  If you are not too scientific,  let's start with the term mass.

  5. It's linked to the term weight which varies if you're on the moon.

  6. You may have seen videos of astronauts of decades ago running and jumping on the moon.

  7. Their lower weight there enabled them to jump higher than at home.  Take your pick from here.

  8. Actually, taking your pick is an important theme of the websites.  As you read in item 7, There is a mass of information across numerous pages.

  9. That mass divides between pages for pupils, parents and staff.

  10. Pages for parents are, of course, for staff reading and there is an important learning triangle with the pupil at the apex.

  11. Once pupils are set to be reading the websites, the Contents page here will look quite different.

  12. Perhaps you are wondering about the way the text here is set out.  Decimal referencing is worth reading here.

  13. Perhaps you are wondering too about the author. I'm here.

  14. The websites together form a large à la carte menu as described here.
