NASA Science for Parents and Educators

  1.  The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is an independent agency of the U.S. Federal Government responsible for the civilian space programme, as well as aeronautics and space research.


  2. Since its establishment in 1958, most US space exploration efforts have been led by NASA, including the Apollo Moon landing missions, the Skylab space station, and later the Space Shuttle. NASA supports the International Space Station and various space research projects.


  3. Although USA focused, numerous NASA educational programmes are useful to UK children and parents.  Visit a webpage for parents and educators here

  4. Roam the 34 "blue boxes" of activities and information.  (Many other pages feature such boxes.)


  5. Elsewhere, you could consider taking your children to a playground here.


  6. Your children can make a spin-wheel galaxy here.
